Everyone has a Story to Sing

Join BCAA for a celebratory community gathering with Nicholas Felder! Tell the story of your life through pictures and song. The activities planned for this event are accessible for all levels of experience. Light treats and refreshments will be provided.

Participants will create graphic scores (pictures and symbols describing musical events) using sounds and melodies tied to who they are and where they're from—what home means to them. Participants will then be invited to share their scores and life stories with the group, and Nicholas Felder, acclaimed violinist and community organizer, will interpret and perform the scores. The activity will serve as an opportunity to listen, share creativity, and call in thoughtful connection.

This events will take place while the exhibit Dia de los Muertos - Arcos y Portales is on display at the Collective Community Arts Center.

Where: The Collective (201 N Public Rd, Lafayette)

When: Monday, October 19th | 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
