1000 Voices Project

1000 Voices Project was founded on the conviction that whenever we raise our voices collectively, change is inevitable. The 1000 Voices Project offers people the opportunity to work together to stimulate self-awareness while cultivating basic human qualities such as compassion, understanding and respect.

The 1000 Voices Project offers a variety of programs in different settings bringing people together to build peaceful communities. African songs, rhythm games, dance, and storytelling are used to facilitate personal growth, community building and cross-cultural understanding. We hope that one day it will be common practice for people to gather in the thousands to work together in harmony.

Life: A Delightful Show About Fear and Grief

When: Friday, February 13 | 7 PM

Where: The Dairy Arts Center | 2590 Walnut St, Boulder

Life: A Delightful Show About Fear & Grief blends comedy, storytelling, and spoken word poetry to explore the awful, hilarious, and utterly human experience of fear, grief, and ultimately acceptance. The cast of Life - Andrea Vahl, Elaina McMillan, and Katie Mason invite you into a shared space that encourages a path toward healing All three performers met through stand-up comedy, where they discovered a shared interest in the themes of fear and grief. In response to positive audience feedback, what was only going to be a one time show has continued to evolve for three years!

Fear and grief are not just inevitable — they are sacred rites of passage, catalyst for transformation and resilience; and they belong to all of us. Topics in this show may include addiction, loss, love, health, dementia, and more. See the show on February 13 and experience the power of connection, compassion, and community.

“Grief helps me let go so I can love more fully- without restraint - love the hard people when I accept they won't change, love life when I allow it to be the brutal landscape that it is. I grieve, so that I can love.”

- Katie Mason

- Katie Mason
