Peace Blossoms
Immersed in iris, wandering among brilliant yellow waves and dark stripes, amazement surfs into purple tranquility. Painter painting, fisherman fishing, a sun-drenched pond lily reflects on a twig floating by white clouds and blue sky. Peace, love and joy are experienced in nature's beautiful flowers, whether domestic or wild.

Photography and digital artistry of beautiful blossoms provide me with peace. I hope that my images flood your mind with the beauty of inner peace inspired by nature in even the most common flower, whether in a domestic garden or a local or national park. Stoop down to take a closer look and be amazed by nature. Realize that your attention to this small detail in fluences your view of the world and how that affects all of us, in our relationships to one another and the environment around us. With the gaining of inner peace, road rage and violence become things of the past. With love and knowledge of the beauty of nature, no matter how small the details, comes an appreciation leading to a caring of the environment. Our environment affects everything we do. Does it smell good, can it grow heathly food and provide clean water and air for us and does it provide a pleasant place to live our lives? Can we each mimic some aspect of nature in our own yard or home in order to add to the beauty and health of our environment? I look forward to appreciating the effect of your garden or potted plant as a step you take to save the world.

This display reflects seasons as well as flower-inspired inner peace. We've all heard the saying, "Take a photograph. It's last longer." Much to my surprise, as I wander through and learn more about nature and really pay attention, I learn this is true. Nature has cycles. Each flower has its' special time. We have two weeks to enjoy a perennial flower's bloom, it then fades, and we have to wait a whole year to see it again. With this knowledge, I find myself driven to be in certain locations at certain times visualizing compositions as I go along. I am drawn to color. Purple, warm with reddish tints and cool with blue tints have a special fascination. A purple scene or flower can totally change its' mood depending on the available sunlight and time of day. Next I notice the shapes and designs. If I can interpret a flower by noticing facial or other animal features, that is a fun thing to do. At those times, I think of them as creatures with families and homes that may need our appreciation and protection in order for them to help our increasingly crowded world.
