An exhibition of abstract, acrylic paintings titled “Freefloat,” by Melinda Myrow is on display in Gallery I of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) August 30 – September 25. Images appear to float on the surface of the intriguing acrylic and mixed media paintings. The artist uses techniques comprised of layering, adding, and subtracting colors and textures, with passion and delicacy, to reach the desired look and feel.
