For the Brewsters, insanity runs in the family. Martha & Abby, the two sweet elderly aunts, perform their own kind of charity by poisoning lonely old men with nothing to live for. Their bugle-blowing nephew, Teddy, who believes he is Teddy Roosevelt and that the Panama Canal runs through the basement, is charged with burial duties. His soon-to-be-married brother, theater critic Mortimer, discovers the murders in the house and sets out to try and protect society without betraying his family. Finally there is brother Jonathon, a nefarious criminal hiding from the law behind layers of plastic surgery. Add in love, hate, the law, some corpses, and a drunken plastic surgeon and mayhem will surely reign.
