Director of DevelopmentThe Boulder International Fringe Festival, a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization, seeks a Director of Development to provide leadership, management, and coordination for all fundraising efforts, with a specific focus on implementing and executing fundraising campaigns, asks, donations, sponsorships, and creative fundraising strategies. In addition, the Director of Development will integrate a creative marketing plan to attract diverse revenue streams to the Festival. Specific job duties include, but are not limited to: - planning and executing the Festival's annual fundraising plan - identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major donors - securing financial support from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other sources - supervision of fundraising staff, contractors, and volunteers - planning of special events related to fundraising - planning and oversight of fundraising campaigns at Fringe events - cultivation of press and publicity opportunities, including the generation of press releases for special events - creation and implementation of web-based initiatives alongside more traditional print strategies - development and tracking of proposals and reports Qualified applicants will have experience in Festival development and planning, knowledge of Fringe Festival models worldwide, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with intermediate to advanced computer programs and technical media associated with theatrical events, and 5+ years of experience in arts management and development. A Bachelor's degree or higher in an arts related field is highly desirable. Must be independently motivated, detail oriented, and able to work within tight timelines with limited resources. Work up to 15 hours a week on a flexible basis, with availability for weekly meetings, fundraising activities and special events as they occur. As a member of the Executive Staff department, the Director of Development reports to and works closely with the President and Executive Producer of the Festival. The mission and purpose of the Boulder International Fringe Festival is to create and maintain a platform for creative voice in the community by presenting an annual Fringe festival in late summer, with additional activities ongoing throughout the year.
