Marisol Imports, the Boulder County Arts Alliance and The Dairy Center for the Arts present the 4th annual Santos Y Muertos Show. Every year, people around the world gather to celebrate the Mexican holiday of Day of the Dead and honor friends & family who have passed away.
Traditionally held on November 2nd and connected to the Catholic holidays of All Saint’s Day and the Feast of All Souls, The Santos Y Muertos Show is a seasonal gathering of local painters, sculptors, jewelers, weavers, mask-makers, folk artists and enthusiasts. This year there will also be traditional food & beverage available, margaritas and live music by Los Cheesies 4-6 pm. There will be simple art activities for children, face painting by Kristin Dalleske and a cultural discussion about the Day of the Dead tradition.
Come join us for this one-day show featuring original art and crafts by Netanel Miles-Yepez, Jerry Vigil, Rob Yancey, Beatriz Gómez, Patrick Sandoval, Ignacio Lopez, Leigh Palmer, Denise Perreault, Judith Trager, the Marisol Imports artisans and the Zapotec weavers of Oaxaca, Mexico.
