Art on the Walls ExhibitsSince 1998, Boulder County Arts Alliance has offered juried exhibit opportunities for visual artists to show their work in non-tradional spaces. Art on the Walls, a program of the Boulder County Arts Alliance, is offering a two-dimensional art exhibit opportunity for six month periods at Corden Pharma Colorado, Inc. ("Corden Pharma Colorado"), 2075 North 55th Street in Boulder. Eligibilty - You must be a current resident of Boulder County and a member of the BCAA to apply for this exhibit opportunity. It is recommended that you visit Corden Pharma Colorado to view the exhibit space prior to submitting your application. No appointment is necessary if you visit Corden Pharma Colorado between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. Applications accepted on an ongoing basis. Selection Process - Selection of the artists and the work is the responsibility of representatives from both the BCAA and Corden Pharma Colorado in their sole discretion. Applicants fully acknowledge that they have no recourse against either BCAA or Corden Pharma Colorado or their officers, directors, employees or agents for any decision to decline the Applicants work regardless of the reason, if any, for such decision. Applicants further acknowledge that neither BCAA nor Corden Pharma Colorado are required to provide a decision for turning down applicant’s work. Criteria - Jurors are looking for a cohesive body of work as it relates to content and expression that demonstrates technical excellence and a mastery of medium and materials. (As a professional local business, Corden Pharma Colorado will not accept nude subject matter.) Liability - The artist assumes all responsibility for hanging, taking down, and insuring work during the exhibit period. Utmost care will be taken of all entries while on display at Corden Pharma Colorado. By submitting artwork and/or images to BCAA, Art on the Walls, the Artist agrees that neither BCAA, Corden Pharma Colorado nor any of their individual representatives, are in no way responsible for any damage to, or theft of any artwork. Notification - Artists will be notified within two weeks of application date (i.e. by October 1 or April 1). Artists must be immediately prepared to hang their works within two weeks following the selection notification. Other Upcoming Visual Arts Events The World Art Showcase features the work of artists from arount the world. The 2011 exhibit opens on August 12th, 6-9pm, at the Great Frame Up Gallery, 430 Main St. in Longmont. The beautiful Lyons Farmette is the setting for the annual Plein Air Art Show and Sale. Over 40 renowned plein air artists have been invited to paint scenes from around Colorado, over the summer. These new works will be on display and for sale at the Farmette on Saturday, September 17 from 4-7pm. Click here to view past exhibits. |
