BCAA Art on the Walls exhibit "
The Last Road Trip" featuring the works of Marilyn Hunt.
Photographic images reflect time and circumstance. These are of old cars for the most part, in the place where they landed after their last road trip. Though inanimate and likely to travel no more, they continue to change. There is still movement. As weather and plant life take their toll or people take what they want, I see a lot of art forms in the most recent changes. Their condition makes me wonder about previous journeys, roads traveled, and what about society is reflected in these old beauties.
Earliest memories are of the family care, an early 1960s cream and brown Oldsmobile that smelled like sour milk - for a reason. Later there was the very small white Rambler convertible (perfect for a family of five) with no heat - a rattling tin can in the sub-zero Wisconsin winters.
This exhibit includes images taken over the past 2 decades. During this time I have grown as a photographic artist. I have left my post-graduate school life as a policy analyst and spend most of my days working/playing in the field of photography. I provide fine art for homes and business - mostly landscapes - as well as stock art. I enjoy the occasional commercial photographic assignment, photo restoration jobs, art awards and shows. My inspiration comes from viewing art of all kinds. I love seeing how other artists play with light or simply bring out beauty from everyday life in mediums I find difficult.
