Purpose:

The BCAA Endowment was established through the generous support of Neodata Services Inc. in 1986 to support artistic excellence and promote stability among individual artists and arts organizations working within Boulder County. The BCAA Endowment Fellowships were designed to provide unrestricted awards in two disciplines out of six (dance, music, film/media, visual arts, theater and literature) with the cycle repeating every three years. Fellowships are offered to individual artists each spring and the awards are for $1000. Fellowships are unrestricted cash awards designed to recognize artistic achievement through an accumulated body of work in a designated discipline and to further the established artist's career. The cycle rotations are as follows:

  • 2017 - Dance and Visual Art
  • 2018 - Music and Literature
  • 2019 - Media and Theatre

Important Dates:

Application deadline - Applications must be rsubmitted online by 5:00pm on the application deadline date. The form will be taken off line at 5:01pm and will not be available for edits or submission.

Grant coaching session - The coaching session is primarily oriented to grant writing for the BCAA Endowment grants which are awarded for project, equipment purchase or general operating support; but many general tips for improving writing or understanding how the panel works could be shared by all fellowship grant applicants.

Reception/grant distribution - All applicants are invited to attend a grant distribution reception. Awardees will be asked to share their aspirations for the use of the award. This is a great opportunity to learn about what's happening in the arts in Boulder County and to network with other artists and organizations.
