2-Day Ceramics Workshop with Master Japanese Potter

Studio Arts Boulder is excited to announce a two-day workshop with Master Japanese potter Kouta Shimazaki. In this two day, hands-on workshop, Kouta will demonstrate his signature lidded jars, large luted pots and tea ceremony vessels. He'll tell his story of coming to the United States from Japan, studying ceramic arts, starting a community studio, and teaching for 20 years. He'll work with each student to heighten their craft, refine technique, and leave them with new appreciation for working with clay.
