Felder Impov Workshops guide participants thr ough movement exercises\, word association games\, and group composition to empower their voices\, l eadership\, collaborative ability\, and creativity . Whether participants are beginners or experience d improvisers\, the exercises (such as ostinatos f ormed from the rhythmic content of participants’ n ames) are designed to highlight everyone’s unique talents and abilities. Nicholas Felder (he/him) is a Black queer artist\, compose r-vocalist\, activist\, and educator who creates a rt around identity\, communal joy and healing\, an d youth empowerment.  He builds community in artma king\, unlocking truths around self-identity\, and creates a space for embodied expression. Nicholas has led educational programs and workshops with n umerous arts organizations\, such as the Detroit S ymphony Orchestra\, American Composers Orchestra\, the Denver Young Artists Orchestra\, and Sphinx O rganization. He loves to encourage young adults to express their social and political views through artmaking.

An active composer and collaborator\, Ni cholas has had his works performed nationally by e nsembles\, such as the Hawai’i Youth Symphony\, Mi vos Quartet\, Kennesaw State University Symphony O rchestra\, DC Youth Orchestra Program\, and Univer sity of Michigan Converge Quartet.
