Is Fiscal Sponsorship Right for You?

Registration is closed for this event
Do you have an art program or project idea that you'd like to be able to accept tax-deductible donations for?  Do you need help promoting your project? You may be an independent artist or run your art business as an LLC or C Corp. How would becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or seeking a fiscal sponsor, like BCAA, open up opportunities for grants and charitable donations? Find out the difference between the two and what makes sense for you. Learn more about the grantmakers in Colorado and how they are reacting to the current political climate. Presented by Ken Ransford and Kathy Kucsan of Integrity Arts. Walk-ins also welcome. Feel free to bring a bagged lunch.

Ken Ransford has been practicing as an attorney and CPA since 1984. He focuses on providing tax and legal advice to nonprofit organizations, individuals, and small businesses. He has incorporated over one hundred 501(c)(3) organizations, many with an environmental or creative arts focus. He currently serves on Eagle County’s Open Space Advisory Council. He has served on the boards of many organizations including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies, and Western Resource Advocates. He lives with his wife and two children in Carbondale.
