Curt Hammerly is the ceramicist behind Hammerly Ceramics. He started working with clay as art therapy in 2012 after an accident that left him with a broken neck. A businessman first and an artist second he combines age old ceramics techniques with a knowledge of current technology and digital fabrication. Believing that social media is the most powerful tool an artist in this age can harness, he uses these technologies to bring his work, techniques, and love for the craft to the largest audience possible.
Presented in collaboration with the Lafayette Arts & Cultural Resources Department. Funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.
