What do decolonization, art, and philosophy have to do with one another? Better yet, what CAN they have to do with one another? Come to this Zoom event and spend some time creating, collaborating with others, and learning more about decolonization and philosophy!
This is an interactive, hands-on workshop!
Recommended materials include anything you have on hand that you'd like to use for quick, visual artistic expression: paper, markers, crayons, colored pencils, paint, canvas, pencils, play-doh, etc.
Ájené Robinson-Burris is currently a doctoral candidate studying Philosophy at the University of Colorado, Boulder and received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ájené primarily works on issues centered around critical race philosophy, bioethics, and sociopolitical philosophy. Recently, Ájené has been examining racial-gender-class justice and state obligations to eliminate present-day colonial practices.
