In this third and concluding session, "Short Term Goal Setting" participants will -
- Review the gaps in their board governance.
- Learn about actions that should be undertaken by the board for succession planning.
- Gain a deeper understanding on which activities board directors may want to prioritize to over the upcoming years.
Previous Session in this Series -
- The first session, "Board Governance 101" happened in April, and covered legal roles as well as responsibilities for nonprofit board directors.
- The second session, “How to Lead in a Changing Environment” happened in May, and covered how to be adaptable and strategic in response to change.
Each 90 minute session will be led by Nikki McCord. Nikki is the founder of McCord Consulting Group, a Black-owned, woman-owned boutique firm with locations in Boulder, Colorado and Panamá City, Panamá. Nikki is a public speaker and facilitator, training audiences to break free of the status quo so that they can lead their teams and organizations to the next phase of development. She has spoken before the following audiences: The University of Notre Dame, Financial Planning Association, BevNet, ExpoWest, Alliance Management Institute, and the Colorado Small Business Development Center.
Ms. McCord’s civic and professional board participation includes the City of Boulder Board of Zoning Adjustment. Her past board participation includes the Posner Center for International Development, Boulder Housing Partners, and the Community Affairs Council of the Boulder Chamber.
