Mary Wohl Haan, modern dancer and choreographer, is artistic director of Boulder’s HAAN Dances, which serves as a vehicle for her creative work as a soloist and as a pick-up company for group pieces and projects. Since moving to Boulder in 1990, her creative work and productions have garnered both local and regional recognition including numerous Boulder Arts Commission and Boulder County Arts Alliance grants, an AHAB/Neodata Artist Fellowship, a CO Council on the Arts Recognition Award, a “Best of Boulder” for Best New Choreography, and a CO Legends in Dance and Dairy Arts Center Honors. For the last 17 years, Mary served as the Coordinator of the City of Boulder's Office of Arts + Culture’s Dance Bridge, a resource and networking project for dance and the Boulder community. She just retired from that position on January 31. Mary looks forward to continuing her work as an artist and can use her status as a fiscal sponsee to raise money for future projects.
BCAA is proud to be the Fiscal Sponsor for Mary Wohl Haan. Our Fiscal Sponsorship program entitles individual artists and cultural organizations without 501(c)(3) status to apply to funders and solicit tax deductible donations under the auspices of Boulder County Arts Alliance, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Fiscal Sponsorship is essentially a re-granting program for grant awards and contributions to specific pre-approved artists or organizations intended for purposes directly related to BCAA's purpose: To provide leadership and resources for arts organizations, artists, educators, and the community of Boulder County.
