As a community development professional and illustrator, Cal Brackin is interested in how artists work as powerful intermediaries between citizens, professionals, and policymakers. Cal earned his BA and MA in International Development, has served communities locally and globally through the AmeriCorps, Peace Corps-Mongolia, an AIF Clinton Fellowship in India, Leadership Jackson Hole, and is currently a Boulder Leadership Fellow. Cal is from Jackson Hole, Wyoming and enjoys illustration, making things, design thinking, backpacking, ice hockey, and community development. He is excited to meet and learn from artists in Boulder County and help to promote the value artists have in communities. Cal takes over from Crystal Polis, who, after six wonderful years at BCAA, is moving on to pursue new arts-related opportunities, including her own grant writing business. |
