The Arbor Institute is a non-profit creative incubator for environmental awareness, combining the arts and contemplative practice with ecological experience. Located in downtown Boulder, Colorado on Central Park near the banks of Boulder Creek, the Institute hosts multidisciplinary artworks, installations, events, and dialogues that reconnect us with each other, with the Earth, and with the interdependency of life. The Arbor Institute's mission is to create connection in a disconnected world, helping people to feel deeply, see clearly, and act wisely to nurture a healthy, thriving planet. The Institute provides a dedicated home for the growing community of artists, scientists, spiritual practitioners, ecologists, activists, and creatives from all walks of life who are inspiring care for the Earth. Current online and in person programs supporting community, environmental justice, and healing during the pandemic include Poetry for the Planet, Meditation with the Earth, and the upcoming ceremonial installation: Interwoven: A Resting Place for Collective Grief.
