Call for Artists

2021 Boulder Star Holiday Card

The Boulder Chamber, in association with Boulder County Arts Alliance, seeks to commission a professional local artist, illustrator and/or designer, to create an original image that it can license for the 2021 Boulder Star Holiday Card, a wine label, and possibly other items.

The selected artist will receive $900 under the terms of a license agreement to create an image of the Boulder Star that is reflective of Boulder.

Fresh interpretations of iconic Boulder imagery are welcomed.

Art + Science Partnerships Cohort

Art + Science Partnership Cohort

The Art + Science Partnerships “Creative Strategists” program helps artists and arts leaders become facilitators of interdisciplinary partnerships that impact critical environmental and social issues within communities. Artists and arts leaders who want to participate in a learning community of other students, scientists and community members, and address issues of power, equity and inclusion in community-engaged scholarship are encouraged to apply for the program. This is a great opportunity to learn how to work with communities and scientists in order to turn your art into action.

We will accept up to 6 artists/arts leaders in the cohort. Applications are due Jan. 27, 2021 and notifications will be sent by early February 2021. Participation in the cohort includes an opportunity to apply for a project grant. Cohorts will be determined by a committee from Boulder County Arts Alliance, which includes Art + Science advisory members from CU Boulder. Read more.

Flags of Hope - Banderas de Esperanza

This program is co-organized by Boulder County Arts Alliance and the CU Office for Outreach and Engagement, as part of the Equity and Inclusiveness Series and a new Antiracism Action Initiative with Boulder arts organizations.

Join us to learn how the Abad◮Anaya artist collective partners with community to create art projects designed to help the spirit of humanity thrive and combat social isolation and rising political divisions.
