Board Governance 101 - part 2. In this workshop we will talk about what leadership looks like from the lens of the ED and the lens of the Board. Maybe leadership is advocacy, maybe leadership is doing more, maybe leadership is doing less. Whatever is decided, a conversation needs to be had now about what leadership looks like for your organization in a changing environment.

Who's in the Limelight?
Ondine Geary

Meet Ondine Geary, BCAA Board member, Managing Director, B2 Center for Media, Arts and Performance, ATLAS INSTITUTE.

Ondine Geary, is a Boulder-based choreographer, interdisciplinary performance artist, collaborator, and improviser.  Her work plays at the intersection of art, the body and critical, social engagement. A collaborative and community-minded arts administrator with a subtle Southern twang. Her choreographic work has been performed nationally and internationally, receiving the support of grants and artist residencies. Before joining the ATLAS team, she directed outreach and community engagement for the Department of Theatre & Dance at CU Boulder, where she also received her MFA in Dance.

Les presentamos a Ondine Geary, miembro de la Junta Directiva de BCAA y directora general del Centro B2 de Medios, Artes y Artes Escénicas del INSTITUTO ATLAS.

Ondine Geary reside en Boulder y es coreógrafa, artista interdisciplinaria, colaboradora e improvisadora. Su trabajo se mueve en la intersección del arte, el cuerpo y la participación social crítica. Es una administradora de arte colaborativa y con vocación comunitaria, con un sutil acento sureño.Su trabajo coreográfico se ha presentado a nivel nacional e internacional, recibiendo apoyo de becas y residencias artísticas. Antes de unirse al equipo de ATLAS, dirigió las actividades de divulgación y participación comunitaria del Departamento de Teatro y Danza de la Universidad de Colorado en Boulder, donde también obtuvo su Maestría en Bellas Artes en Danza.

Colorado Creative Industries Summit

BCAA Presents: "Expanding the Artists Role in Placemaking and Design" at the 2025 Colorado Creative Industries Summit in Grand Junction!

On Thursday, May 01st, BCAA joined the Colorado Creative Industries Summit in Grand Junction to present a panel on “Expanding the Artists Role in Placemaking and Design”. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the moderator and panelists who made this session possible!

El jueves 1 de mayo, BCAA se unió a la Cumbre de Industrias Creativas de Colorado en Grand Junction para presentar un panel sobre “Ampliando el rol de los artistas en la creación de espacios y el diseño”. Nicholas Felder (PhD Candidate & Community Engagement Coordinator - CU Boulder) opened the session with an icebreaker improv and movement exercise, then spoke about his work building nurturing, community centered relationships through improv practices.
