Youth Crafters Business Program in collaboration with NoBo Arts District

Where: NoBo Arts District

When: August through October. Complete schedule of events will be published on the BCAA homepage. For more information, email info@bouldercountyarts.org

LEARN MORE

BCAA strives to stay attuned to the evolving needs of artists, both professional and emerging. It recently came to our attention that a group of middle school age, prolific crafters were interested in learning the business skills needed to sell their work. In response, we are building a program around youth entrepreneurship as an extension of our Business of Arts professional development program.

The structure of this program will be highly experiential and will include:

  • Two workshops on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship as an artist. Workshops will happen in August (exact dates TBD).

  • Two NoBo First Friday Art Markets in September and October, during which participants will practice the skills learned through selling their artwork as vendors. The program will be youth driven with adult support.

  • Final evaluation session in October addressing the participants' experiences in the program and goals for the future of the program.
