She was 87 years old. She was a powerful visual artists creating paintings and collages every bit as impactful as her written work. As a writer of fiction, non-fiction, poetry and performance monologues, Bobbie Louise, ever the child of her West Texas homeland, graced Naropa as a teacher and mentor for more than 30 years, teaching at Naropa regularly for more than 20 years at the invitation of Allen Ginsberg and Anne Waldman.
