I am currently working on a documentary on the historic and beloved Gold Hill Inn and the Bluebird Lodge titled "Heart of Gold Hill". We are still in production which we hope to complete by the end of the year. We have completed over 20 interviews with another 10 planned. We will be archiving the raw interviews with the Maria Rogers Oral History Program at the Carnegie Branch Library for Local History. We also archived the interviews for "PACKED" my first film project which focused on what the evacuees of the Fourmile Canyon fire took with them not knowing what they might find upon their return. We hope to help preserve and spotlight the Gold Hill Inn and the Bluebird Lodge using film and oral history. We will document the full social/cultural history as well as the architectural history of both buildings. Since this summer was the 50th anniversary of Frank and Barbara Finn's purchase of the two buildings we started production earlier than originally planned. I am pleased and honored to be a part of documenting such a significant piece of Colorado history.
