Boulder Symphony & Music Academy (BSMA) is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to making world-class music accessible, relevant, and inspiring for all. Founded in 2010, BSMA combines professional symphonic performance, music education, and community engagement to serve audiences and students throughout Boulder County and the Front Range.

The organization presents a full season of orchestral concerts featuring masterworks, contemporary music, film music, family programming, and collaborations with local artists and organizations. Through innovative initiatives such as Curiosity Concerts, GLOW sensory- and dementia-friendly performances, and community outreach programs, BSMA seeks to remove barriers to arts participation and create meaningful cultural experiences for people of all ages and backgrounds.

The Boulder Symphony Music Academy provides private lessons, ensembles, camps, and educational programs for approximately 150 students annually. The Academy is committed to expanding access to music education through need-based scholarships and currently provides more than 25 full scholarships to students from underserved and low-income families.

BSMA also serves as a cultural and economic contributor to the region, supporting dozens of professional musicians, teaching artists, guest artists, and creative professionals each year. Through partnerships with schools, community organizations, local governments, and social service agencies, the organization uses music as a tool for education, connection, well-being, and community building.

Today, Boulder Symphony & Music Academy reaches thousands of individuals annually through performances, educational programs, and outreach activities, helping to ensure that the arts remain a vibrant and accessible part of community life in Boulder County.
