Claire Boyce, Owner of The One Who Sees Clearly Arts, is a writer and visual artist from Boulder. Her recently published book “(Love is) the Secret Language of Fools” paired her original poems and drawings to create an innovative, articulate work. She is constantly experimenting with the interplay between words and images in her day job as a graphic designer. Claire is also an experienced art teacher who has taught hundreds of children and adults in the metro area.
Claire has had poetry and prose published in multiple print and on-line journals, including The Avocet, Bay Laurel and Regenerate Magazine. She is currently a regular contributor to the health and wellness website basmati.com. She was a regular contributor to Plenilune Magazine, where she authored a regular column entitled “Food for the Soul.” Claire's writing and photography also appeared in Shakti Yogi Journal following a trip to a festival in Costa Rica sponsored by the magazine.
Following a traumatic brain injury, Claire used her creative pursuits as an integral part of her healing. She seeks to use that experience to help others use art as a healing modality and understand its power to heal.
Her fine art has been exhibited in juried shows and galleries throughout the Denver metro area, including the Denver Art Museum's fundraiser for the Friends of Painting and Sculpture (FOPAS), the Art Student's League Summer Art Market, and the Walnut Gallery in Louisville. Based on her artistic merit, Claire also received a scholarship to attend a painting workshop at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico in 2018. She was the recipient of the BCAA's 2018 Martha Kate Thomas Grant.
