EcoArts Connections brings the arts together with science, social justice, Indigenous, and other ways of knowing to inspire people of all ages to live more sustainably - environmentally, economically, socially/culturally, and personally - while finding new roles for the arts in the face of global change. We produce, present, and consult on performances, classes, exhibits, talks, tours, discussions, convenings, youth programs, and other activities and events, primarily in Boulder County, and sometimes nationally or internationally. Our on-going programs are offered in schools and manufactured housing communities (aka mobile home parks) co-developed with and for Latinx youth, women, and families. Our projects serve people of all ages, ethnicities, and walks of life and have been co-creatd in collaboration with science centers, art and natural history museums, libraries, and various departments and programs at the University of Colorado, Boulder, among other entities. Our projects have been held in traditional venues such as theatres and galleries, and less traditional locations such as coal-fired power plants, vehicle emissions testing facilities, and gardens. Throughout our work, we strive to move people emotionally and physically to shift from awareness to action, and from "discipline-centric" to "challenge-centric" listening, feeling, thinking, and doing to work together to solve some of the most important problems we humans face today.
