Patricia Awapara

My artistic journey begun more than twenty years ago, but I am constantly exploring, experimenting and growing as an artist.

I am a recent transplant to Colorado and Loving it! There is so much inspiration and places to go. It is amazing.

Color gives me joy. It is my theme, my subject and my inspiration. As I fill the canvas with bold, vibrant colors a flow of positive energy embraces my spirit. It is my wish to spread this feeling onto the viewer as they stop for a moment to take it all in.

My Creative Process:

​I travel, take pictures, and then imagine how it will look on a canvas. I am currently using acrylic as my medium, placing layer after layer to match my vision.
