The Improv Collaborative, Boulder’s longest-running improv school, offers two semester-long courses designed as a creative journey in collaboration and expression. Beginning Improv — The Improv Sampler introduces the fundamentals of improv and serves as a gateway to the broader Boulder improv community. Improvised Theater builds on this foundation, focusing on stagecraft, acting, and authentic storytelling, with students taking on roles as actors, writers, directors, and designers. Building camaraderie is central to the curriculum, fostering trust, creativity, and shared discovery.
