I'm Japanese artist , based in boulder, Colorado. I use ground-up crystals and other paints on layers of different papers such as Washi to make the shimmering art. Chanoyu Japanese teaism is the foundation of my art, and I explore transience and imperfection. I wake up every morning to prepare Matcha and meditate. Thru my art and tea, I take one day at a time and strive to connect to people and the environment. I perform tea ceremony with ancient stories, demonstrate and teach Ikebana flower arrangement, and conduct calligraphy workshop, which are all included in the part of the tea ceremony for over 400 years in Japan. Email me yutaka.ai@gmail.com for any collaboration ideas.
