Scott Rodwin creates contemporary abstract paintings that are often evocative of landscapes. This series investigates the theme of water from a wide variety of perspectives and includes pieces inspired by oceans, waves, lakes, puddles, rivers, and rain.

No other element is so diverse in it's forms. It can be still, frenetic, random, playful, powerful or gentle, vibrantly colorful or incredibly subtle.

Here in the west, life has always been governed by our relationship to the scarce resource; for our farming, development, sustenance and recreation. We fish, raft and camp in and around them. Water connects us back to life.
