Please join us at the BOULDER ART THERAPY COLLECTIVE on April 3, during our OPEN DOOR STUDIOS and for FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK where we will offer participants the opportunity to create a found poem art piece to keep for themselves or contribute to the Community Spoken Word piece to be presented on April 4th for ART SPEAK at the Blue Barn in North Boulder from 3-5:30.
When are the hours for the event?
Friday, April 3rd, from 11-1 and 2-4
First Friday, April 3rd from 6-9
What will you be doing?
Participants will be welcomed to our studio free of charge during these hours and will recieve a page from a book to find their poem and use of art supplies to create their Found Poem Art Piece. Tea and snacks too!
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome - young, old, abled, disabled, all colors, sizes, shapes, sexual identities, wealthy or poor, artists and non-artists, and everyone in between. No one will be turned away.
What is Art Speak?
On Saturday, April 4th NoBo Art District and our spoken word artists will share our collaborations. Visual artists and poets, songwriters, storytellers and rappers perform their special programs that were shared in individual NoBo studios the night before. All gathered together for your entertainment this cross-discipline exchange is a sweet way to shake up your notion of what visual artists and poets can inspire in each other.
