PASTICHE! - A Celebration of Diverse Music

Join us for a Boulder Arts Week Musical Celebration of the eclectic in a program titled "Pastiche!" (from the Italian "pasticcio," which is a pie filling mixed from diverse ingredients). Awaiting you is a delicious mixture of both sounds and musical styles over three centuries from 11 brilliant musical artists, including:
-songs for soprano based on letters (both hilarious and heartbreaking) from Calamity Jane to her daughter
-timeless masterpieces for solo instruments by J.S. Bach
-exotic music for violin from the Russian composer Nikolai Kapustin
-sensuous music for guitar from the Spanish composer Albeniz
-lively, fun music from the contemporary composers Jennifer Higdon and Conor Brown
