Join award-winning and national best-selling author Dan Simmons as he debuts his newest novel “ The Fifth Heart.” The story follows the trail of Sherlock Holmes and Henry James’ 1893 investigation of the mysterious death of Clover Adams, wife of the esteemed historian Henry Adams—member of the Adams family that has produced two U.S. presidents. Simmons is most widely known for his Hugo Award-winning science fiction series, the "Hyperion Cantos," and for his Locus-winning Ilium/Olympos cycle. He is one of few novelists whose work spans the science fiction, horror and fantasy genres, sometimes within a single novel. He is also a respected author of mysteries and thrillers, some of which feature the continuing character Joe Kurtz. His books are published in 27 foreign counties as well as the U.S. and Canada. His last novel was the “Abominable.” Dan Simmons will discuss researching "The Fifth Heart" as well as his adventures and misadventures while researching and writing his many books.
