Marlow Brooks is a calligrapher, painter, and Five Element healer. After establishing herself as a painter, she began her studies of Asian calligraphy in 1981. She teaches the Psychology of the Five Elements at Naropa University and conducts private classes in calligraphy and healing.

Her calligraphy has traveled since 2003 to international exhibitions in China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Europe and New York City. She received an outstanding award for calligraphy in Shanghai. She is a featured artist in the documentary “Chinese Calligraphy in 5000 years,” which aired on CCTV throughout China, Hong Kong, and Singapore.  She recently published a book of her poems, The Way Through, a mythical journey through dharma, life, and the Feminine to the possibility of total freedom.  She will present a reading at 6:00 p.m. from the book surrounded by her work.

Marlow explains her work, “My way of accessing their messages (ancient lineages) has been through my love of the natural world and the creative process. I begin each piece with spontaneous painting; then I wait for a portal to open through which I can see who and what arises.” Please visit her website at marlowbrooks.com for more information about her art and practice.
