Business of Arts: Creating a Business Plan

Description
Carol Nickell will facilitate this workshop for artists and administrators of art organizations. Participants will be given guided instruction in developing a business plan for your business (of Art).

Participants will: 
1. Assess where your business is (SWOT)
2. Learn the key elements to build your plan 
3. Create an outline to get started on your plan

Ms. Nickell’s career has included more than 20 years as a Program and Executive Director in the nonprofit sector, 10 years in the for-profit business world and 3 years managing government social service programs and projects.  A member of the SCFD Boulder County Cultural Council, she is a proven leader as well as an experienced manager.  She also has extensive program design and implementation experience and has successfully implemented social services projects both at the local and state levels.  Ms. Nickell has a B.A. in Public Administration from California State University, San Bernardino. In 2006 she was named top business women for the Nonprofit Sector by Pacific Coast Business Times. In, 2007 receipt of the Presidents Award from the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
