If you are an artists who loves color, knows it is very important, but doesn't thoroughly understand it, and is not confident of how to directly mix any color you want, and is one who has always known that you “need” to “do your charts”… well this is what these two days are for.
Following a 2 hour lecture on color, we will spend 1.5 days mixing and making a colorwheel chart and grey scale. The second half of the second day we begin the process of doing the color charts of your own pallet of tube colors, which I call the “Schmid color charts”, made "famous" by Richard Schmid. The colorwheel is the essential, and the “Schmid charts” are practical execution. In the workshop, we will get one or two of the schmid charts done, so that you will leave knowing how to continue through the making of the rest of the charts on your own.
You will leave with two excellent color references that will serve you for as long as you paint. Many finish the wheel in the workshop before moving on to the Schmid charts.
This class is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, February 12-13, 2016.
Tuition: $250
