The Vail Dance Intensive is a week long summer intensive offering classes in ballet, jazz, contemporary dance, and hip hop. Hosted at Studio 8100 with world-renowned guest teachers, the intensive is for intermediate and advanced students aged 12-19. Spots are limited as our focus is to give each student a high degree of individual and personalized instruction.
The morning sessions will focus on Classical and Modern Ballet, and include strengthening and stretching exercises with elements of Pilates and Gyrokinesis.
The afternoon sessions will offer a mix of classes in various dance styles such as Traditional and Commercial Jazz, Contemporary Dance and Hip Hop, and include Composition/Improvisation and Choreography. The week will offer a mix of Commercial style and Concert style dance, teaching the students a wide range of today's Contemporary dance styles.
Our wonderful faculty will be traveling to Vail from places such as San Francisco, New York and Los Angeles, and represent everything from the artistic Avant-Garde community to the Commercial World in LA.

Lauren Fadeley Veyette - Soloist, Pennsylvania Ballet Theater. Appeared in the Academy Award-winning film "Black Swan.
Candice Bergeron - Contemporary dancer, BFA in dance from The University of Arizona.
Sarah Tallman - Contemporary dancer and choreographer with Wonderbound Dance Company in Denver, CO.
Audrey Gibson - danced with Revolution Company in LA, dancer in the TV show "Bunheads",performed in numerous music videos.
Studio 8100 is a 4000 square foot space consisting of two beautiful spacious dance studios with high ceilings and raised bio mechanical floating floors. The floor surfaces, Ash wood in Studio A and Harlequin Cascade in Studio B, have been carefully chosen to accommodate all the different dance styles. Eric Lavigne, a local artist, has painted a skyline mural that adds to the Urban feel of Studio 8100.
