Photographer Robert Castellino and Sewing Thread Art by Jeff Richards featured at NCAR.

Robert Castellino is passionate about teaching photography and project-based publishing. He has a unique ability to mold ideas, words and images into powerfully impassioned stories. Bob enjoys engaging students in exploring their passion for making photographs and gently challenging them to improve their skills through a participative and interactive approach. Castellino’s work will be on exhibit in UCAR Gallery I of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) May 31, 2016 to July 30, 2016.

Strange AttractorsAccording to artist Jeff Richards,in the study of Chaos Theory it has been found that any chaotic system has within it a tendency to work its way toward order, beginning in a specific domain and then spreading throughout the system. Early computer modeling showed these domains to be rare and elusive, thus they were termed 'strange attractors'. Jeff Richards’ art work, in a peculiar way, is his own way of searching for these strange attractors, these domains of order within chaos wherein the seeds of order and beauty lie. Often distant as a faint echo, or lost in cold and claustrophobic darkness, the strange attractors yet call. Richard’s work will be on exhibit in UCAR Gallery II of the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) May 30, 2016 to July 30, 2016.
