Create beautiful sketches which combine doodling and painting as only Portland, Oregon based artist, Jennifer Mercede can inspire you to do! A big part of drawing is looking at your subject. In this class you will have an opportunity to develop your drawing skills as well as relax, let go and be free. You will spend time in what Jennifer calls the 'BC Zone' or doing blind contour drawings. Your subject will be flowers and other objects in nature , though you are welcome to draw whatever inspires you. You will explore mindless scribbling and doodling (what does your doodle voice look like?). By letting go of the final outcome, you will develop your ability to experiment and grow as an artist. Please bring the following materials:
- Sketchbook or paper to draw on (8-10 sheets)
- Apron or work shirt because it's going to get messy
- Acrylic paints (optional) Brushes (optional) Pens, markers, crayons, colored pencils you enjoy using
