The Boulder Philharmonic offers approximately 40 services in the 2016-2017 season, between October 4 and April 22, including a concert at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Negotiations are in progress for a new collective bargaining agreement, but the section per-service rate for 2015-16 was $96.60 and the principal per-service rate was $115.92. The Boulder Phil does not pay travel or housing allowances for out-of-town musicians. There is a 5% pension fund contribution.

To apply for one of these positions, send a one-page professional performance resume to Mr. Kim Peoria, Personnel Manager at kpeoria@boulderphil.org on or before July 29, 2016. Please include your instrument, email address, phone number and mailing address on your resume. Your resume will be considered and audition invitations will be offered on or before August 5. At that time invited candidates will be required to send in an audition deposit check. Send no check at this time.

Most of the audition music is in the public domain and therefore readily available. However, please contact Mr. Peoria if you have difficulty accessing any of the harder-to- find audition excerpts. 

To take either of these auditions you must be eligible to work in the United States. A successful candidate will be expected to become a member in good standing with Denver Musicians Association, AFM Local 20-623.
