Drawing upon the concept of the mind's eye (oculus mentis), artist Penelope Sharp explores the power of perception and the power of the imagination to alter our perceptions and color the way we see events and objects in this unique sculpture exhibition.

Penelope Sharp is a Boulder artist originally from the San Francisco Bay area with interests in weaving, geology, botany, and philosophy. She creates objects of power - personal and spiritual - that draw from the immensity of the amazing world in which we exist. Channeling that power to balance line, form, and color in creating works of potential energy and serene vibrancy, she often employs opposing forces (light/dark, smooth/rough, solid/open, yin/yang) to coordinate a resultant harmony. Her work has been featured in group and solo exhibitions across the country.

We respectfully suggest a donation of $5 per person when you visit our galleries.
