Boulder Symphony Musician & Singer Openings

INstrumentalists

Rehearsals generally take place on Monday evenings, and most performances take place at the First Presbyterian Church (15th & Canyon) in downtown Boulder. The positions open for the 2016-17 season are volunteer unless otherwise noted.  Fall auditions for instrumentalists take place Sunday, August 14.

The following positions are currently open until filled:

• Principal Viola (paid and contracted)
• Associate Concertmaster (paid and contracted)
• Section Oboe
• Section Horn
• Section Violin
• Section Viola
• Section Bass

Please prepare five contrasting standard orchestral excerpts and a short solo.

Singers

Auditions for the Marriage of Figaro will take place October 1 & 2.

The following positions are open:

• All Principal Roles (paid & contracted)
• Chorus members

Principal roles should prepare arias and recitatives from Marriage of Figaro.  Chorus members maybe two contrasting arias/art songs of their choice, one preferably in Italian.
