Boulder Chorale Concert "Women's Work"

Beginning the with the medieval genius, Hildegard of Bingen, and ending with the modern pop artist, Carly Simon, the Boulder Chorale explores the ways that women have expressed themselves through choral music. In turn, we traverse the territory of the Divine Feminine as male composers like Bruckner and Tavener have walked it. Along with music from South Africa’s “Mama Africa,” Miriam Makeba, and the quirky vocal experiments of Meredith Monk, this concert will move you deeply and inspire you even more.

Dominique Christina, winner of five national poetry slam titles, will address the issues of modern women through her poetry and song, taking you on an emotional journey through time.
