"Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe" is an unforgettable new musical play about one of the world’s most famous and fascinating writers. Blending fact and fiction, the show’s unique operatic score uses poetic dialogue, eerie sound effects, underscored verse, and haunting songs ranging from Weimar cabaret tunes to rock power ballads, to tell the story of Poe’s tormented yet transcendent life.

Ignite Theatre presents " Nevermore: The Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe" October 21 through November 13 at the Crossroads Theatre, 2590 Washington St., Denver 80205 (their first show since 2009 not produced at the Aurora Fox Theatre). Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Monday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m. (No performance on Friday, October 28); Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $24 Adult, $22 Senior (65+)/Military, $19 Student, $20 Group (6+).

The cast includes Seph Hamilton (Edgar Allan Poe), Luke North (Player 1), Brian Trampler (Player 2), Erik Thurston (Player 3), Madeline Hebert (Player 4), Ashley Deuell (Player 5) and Sarah Soltysik (Player 6).

Since 1996, Jonathan Christenson has been artistic director of Catalyst Theatre, for which he has directed, written, composed and occasionally performed in sixteen original productions including The Soul Collector (2013), Hunchback (2011), Nevermore (2008), and Frankenstein (2007). With Joey Tremblay he has created Carmen Angel (2003), The Blue Orphan (2001), The House of Pootsie Plunket (1999), Songs for Sinners (1998), The Abundance Trilogy (1997), and Elephant Wake (1996). His productions have been seen at more than fifty different theatres across England, Scotland, Wales, Australia, the United States and Canada.
