The UCAR Community Art Program features two new exhibits at NCAR

Oil Paintings by Olga Karpeisky

“Everyone can understand beauty. It descends on us in different ways. But there is something that appeals to everybody – it is the life given to us. It could be bright and full of joy, or could feel abandoned and lonesome. Sometimes in the sequence of fast racing events we notice the divine moment of spiritual peace and harmony and we want to prolong it. To find inspiration in things of everyday life that appeal to the senses, to capture the stillness of the moment and then to describe it as a beautiful theme to a viewer – that’s my goal. I try to achieve this through rhythmic, dynamic and balanced composition, wrapped into the movement of light through the volume of space. “ – Olga Karpeisky 2016. Karpeisky’s work will be on exhibit in the UCAR Community Art Gallery at the NCAR Mesa Lab.

Acrylic and Mixed Media Paintings by Joan Jordan

Joan Jordan creates intuitive acrylic and mixed media paintings inspired by nature. Joan’s paintings capture impressions of the seasons – summer abundance, fall harvesting, winter dormancy, and the rebirth of spring. Her colorful artwork captures a sense of the place and the emotion or feeling of being in the landscape. Jordan’s work will be on display in the UCAR Community Art Gallery at the NCAR Mesa Lab.

Opening art reception December 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm 1850 Table Mesa Drive, Boulder, CO.
