About Rocky Ridge Music Center Founded in 1942, Rocky Ridge Music Center provides transformative music education at both our historic summer campus in Estes Park, CO and our newly established year-round Music Academy in Boulder, CO. The Center's programs give students of all ages and levels a variety of opportunities to work with exceptional artists, teachers, and colleagues from around the world. Rocky Ridge encourages participants to engage in lifelong music-making and to build creative communities where they live and work. Rocky Ridge Music Center’s summer residential programs for youth (ages 10 to 24) and adults range from 4 days to 4 weeks at our 17-acre site located just steps from Rocky Mountain National Park. The Center’s programs build on the classical music tradition while broadening its offerings through jazz, American roots, and music from around the world. The Center’s newly established Music Academy offers weekly private lessons, group classes, and special seminars year-round at our convenient North Boulder studio. Students of all ages and levels work with our exceptional faculty, perform in monthly concerts, and share their gifts with the vibrant Boulder arts community. Rocky Ridge Music Center: transforming lives through music, nature, and community. www.RockyRidge.org THE OPPORTUNITY Rocky Ridge Music Center seeks an Associate Director who is motivated to proactively lead the continued growth of an established music organization’s new year-round initiatives — someone who is passionate about music education and building community through shared love of music. The Associate Director’s primary responsibility will be to oversee the organization’s day to day operations and hire/manage summer seasonal staff, year-round support staff, interns, and volunteers. The Associate Director will also work closely with the Executive Director to plan, implement, and manage two community music programs at the Boulder location and Denver School of the Arts (pilot program to launch Fall 2017).
