Description

Museum of Boulder staff has partnered with a group of CU students and community members to curate and produce an art show highlighting student and local artists in April 2018. This show will activate the Main Floor gallery of the new Museum prior to the grand opening and coincide with CU's Conference on World Affairs. We are looking for thought-provoking submissions that interpret one of the following show themes: Sustainable Technology, Movement, Historical Ethics.

Acceptances will be decided by a community-based committee and proposals for exhibitions are now welcome!

All submissions will be reviewed with the following criteria in mind:

1. Artistic excellence
2. Relationship and/or engagement with one of the show's themes (Sustainable Technology, Movement, Historical Ethics)
3. Community Involvement/Collaboration/Engagement (artists or students that have community connections)
4. Diversity of approaches/mediums (2D, 3D, installations)

We are accepting proposals on a rolling basis. The Deadline for Submissions is January 1, 2018. If you are submitting multiple proposals, you are required to fill out a proposal form for each work. Group submissions should designate one artist to be the lead and communicate with the Museum. Submissions that engage with one of the exhibition themes will have priority over those that do not.

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and accepted submissions will be notified by January 20, 2018. If your proposal is accepted, you will be contacted for a follow up meeting by February 15, 2018. All submissions must be received no later than March 10, 2018.
