This exhibit will explore themes surrounding the visual appeal of the
bicycle, its mechanical simplicity, the rotation of the wheel, the bicycle’s role
in social intimacy, the evolution of bicycle form, personal expressions of
the ride, association of the bicycle with the women’s movement, the
risks of the road, fitness and health, decorative value, and the role of the
bicycle in building community.
Collectible, historic, or custom bikes are welcome FOR ART BIKE, BUT
MUST BE REMOVED BY MAY 19.
OPEN TO ALL MEDIUMS.
ENTRY FEE:
Entry fee is $10 for up to four submissions. Children under age 12 are
free. All entries must be completed and repurposed entries must be clean at the
time of submission. Incomplete or inaccurate entry forms may disqualify
the artist from ROLL BIKE. Deadline for Entries is Sat., Mar. 31, 2018.
