The Creede Arts Council (CAC) invites sculptors to enter the juried Creede Sculpture Show. The show is open to all sculptors working in a permanent medium. The deadline for entries is May 1, 2018. Accepted artists will be provided with space to show and sell their work. The opening reception will be held the evening of July 20, 2018 and the show will be held from July 21-22 in the Basham Park area near downtown Creede. A unique community with a rich mining and ranching history, Creede has been recognized as one of the best Small Art Towns with artists, galleries, a theatre and a strong summer tourism economy. CAC’s plan is to install sculptures throughout our community. CAC has purchased three sculptures from the show since the show’s inception in 2016.
$25 Jury Fee. There will be cash and purchase awards. Pieces from the show may be purchased by CAC for permanent outdoor display. For more information email creedesculpture@gmail.com.
